I'm Damir Radulić. I run RiNET — a small operation that builds autonomous AI infrastructure for clients who'd rather ship a working system than receive a glossy slide deck.
I've been on the Croatian internet since 1996, when I co-founded Kvarner Net, one of the country's early independent ISPs. The web has changed; the part where you actually have to make things work has not.
What I do now
Sovereign AI operating systems on EU iron: inference, embeddings, vector search, graph reasoning, agent swarms, LoRA fine-tuning. No third-party data leakage, no "we'll just send it to OpenAI", no marketing-grade demos. Stacks that are still running on Monday morning when nobody's watching.
Recent work, generalised:
- Public-sector clients in SE Europe — civic-intelligence platforms cross-referencing procurement, financial filings, beneficial-ownership, court records, news. Forensic, not flashy.
- Energy-sector pilots — operational telemetry analytics, anomaly detection, agentic workflows over plant data.
- Internal AI operating systems — one brain, many personas, long-running planners with hard guardrails. The plumbing that lets a small team run something a much larger team usually runs.
What this blog is for
Field notes. Architecture decisions I'd want a careful reader to push back on. Postmortems with the names changed. Benchmarks that are honest about what they don't measure. The boring infrastructure details that decide whether AI products actually ship — written for engineers, not for the LinkedIn carousel economy.
No "thought leadership". No takes on yesterday's model release. No "5 things I learned from prompting GPT-4 about my Notion database".
